What Comes With an All-Inclusive Wedding Package in Walnut Creek
The cheaper wedding package is not always the lower-effort choice. It can simply move more decisions onto the couple, a parent, or a trusted friend.

The cheaper wedding package is not always the lower-effort choice. It can simply move more decisions onto the couple, a parent, or a trusted friend. For a Walnut Creek wedding with a close guest list, compare the listed inclusions and ask who will coordinate the pieces that are not part of the package.
At Gather, the three wedding packages are Essential at $3,200, Elevated at $6,500, and Signature at $8,950. Each is priced for up to 40 guests, while the venue can host up to 50. The current package prices include the 20% service fee. Sales tax applies, and food plus separately selected extras are quoted separately.
Essential: a clear starting point
Essential is the lowest listed wedding-package price at $3,200. The published inclusions are a seven-hour event rental, two on-site venue managers, ceremony setup, floor-length linens, and end-of-night cleaning and dumping. For a couple who already has a photographer, florist, and plan for food, that shorter list may be exactly the scope they want to book.
The useful comparison is not only the package total. It is the total plus the choices you will still source. The Essential list does not name photography, florals, bar service, or full-service planning and coordination. If you want any of those, ask whether they can be added and request their costs in writing before comparing totals.
A hands-on host may prefer this route when vendors are already chosen and someone in the group is comfortable keeping the timeline organized. The two venue managers and ceremony setup give the day a base, while the couple retains more decisions. Put names beside every remaining task: who confirms vendor arrival, checks the room, gathers family for portraits, and answers questions during the reception?
Elevated: more of the room and guest experience arranged
Elevated is listed at $6,500 for up to 40 guests. The package includes a seven-hour rental, three on-site venue managers, four hours of photography, a bridal bouquet and boutonniere, a custom backdrop, table settings, linens and decor styling, a dry-hire bar with bartenders, and uplights with colored wash.
That list brings more visible parts of the day into one plan. The couple can spend less time separately sourcing a backdrop, basic table styling, lighting, and photography. The package description does not list full-service planning and coordination for Elevated, so do not assume it is included. Ask who will build the timeline and coordinate arrivals for any vendors you book separately.
The bar wording deserves a specific question. The published description says dry-hire bar with bartenders, but it does not settle every beverage detail for your event. Ask what you provide, what the bar team supplies, how service hours are set, and whether any extra charge applies to your selections. A short written answer is easier to compare than a general promise that the bar is covered.
Signature: the fullest listed set of support
Signature is $8,950 and includes up to 40 guests. Its published list includes a seven-hour rental, three on-site venue managers, full-service planning and coordination, four hours of photography, and same-day content creation. It also names a bridal bouquet, boutonniere and table garlands, a custom-built ceremony backdrop, full table settings, linens and decor styling, four hours of dry-hire bar service with insured bartenders, and uplights with colored wash.
The difference is not just a longer checklist. Planning and coordination are specifically included here, alongside photo coverage, content, floral details, table styling, bar service, and lighting. If you want several of those pieces and would otherwise arrange them one by one, Signature gives you a single package to review. Still, read the line items with your actual guest count and plan in front of you.
The page lists food and separately selected extras outside the base package price. That means Signature is the broadest listed venue package, not a promise that every wedding expense is included. Ask for a written estimate that distinguishes what is included, what you select separately, and what changes if your guest count goes above 40.
What still needs its own number
A useful comparison sheet has one column for the package and another for everything you still want. Add food, any separately selected extras, sales tax, and any over-40 guest charges that apply to your chosen tier. The current page notes $40 per additional guest for Essential and says per-guest rates apply above 40. Ask Gather to confirm the applicable rate for your specific package rather than carrying Essential's note over to another tier.
Then list each outside vendor or choice with its own quote, and mark who will communicate with that person. The package page does not publish an à la carte price for each included Signature item, so a fair package-versus-separate comparison needs current vendor quotes, not guessed replacement values. This is also where a smaller package can be less expensive while asking more of the host.
Choose by the work you want to own
Choose Essential if a lower venue-package price matters most and you already have a plan for the remaining vendors and decisions. Consider Elevated if photography, selected styling, bar service, and lighting are the parts you would rather have listed together. Look at Signature if planning and coordination plus its broader set of inclusions match the way you want to spend your time.
Before you decide, ask for the current package outline and a quote for your date, guest count, food choices, and any extras. Check the hours, service fee, tax, over-40 pricing, and every item you expect to see on the day. At 1347 Locust St in Walnut Creek, Gather can host up to 50 guests. We are glad to walk through the differences and help you see which decisions remain yours.
